Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog. I hope you enjoy learning about other writers in The Writers Journey Podcast, finding books you love for yourself in the Recommended Reading and discovering my characters and writing.
I’ve created a number of websites, blogs and podcasts over the years as I searched for meaning in everything I did. As a previous business owner of a fitness company, I worked very hard to pass on good advice and information to the people who used their hard earned dollars to pay for my services via blogs, podcasts and seminars. But I dabbled in all sorts of different adventures while running the business, bordering on mild obsession that usually only lasted a few months (hockey, Jiu Jitsu, University classes, firefighting, obstacle course racing etc.). As I get older I believe I’ve settled down and started to find the things I’m passionate enough about to stick with, but deep down I’m afraid of what a few months time might bring. My brain can be very focused but if the passion wavers, the focus shifts. In that way I’m like a kid who’s still exploring the options available to him in a very large world. Unfortunately I’m getting older and most of the things I might have wanted to be good at (did I mention I’m competitive too?) I’m over the age of high performance contention.
Despite all the ups and downs over the years, I’ve always come back to writing stories. Now that my business is closed, I’m more able to freely explore that part of my life that I left behind for a time. I can’t shake the feeling that I’m starting over in the skill, but I suppose that’s the price I have to pay for dabbling in so many other things.
As you might be able to tell, my blog will share my journey – the good and the bad – and the experience I have along the way. As I writer and runner, I hope to be able to explore more of the world and talk about everything I discover. For now, please enjoy what I do have available and I’ll work to populate it regularly.
