About the Podcast

The Thriller Writer Lab gives thriller authors two minutes to pitch their book, followed by a focused conversation about the story, the characters, and the creative process behind it.

Each episode spotlights compelling thrillers, the authors who write them, and the experiences that shaped their work. Guests share what inspired their stories, what challenged them most, and the moments that changed the way they write.

This show was created with two goals in mind:

For authors, to provide a platform to share their stories and connect with both readers and fellow writers without relying on algorithms or ad budgets.

For readers, to discover new voices and explore what goes on behind the scenes of their favorite genre.

About the Host

Mark PJ Nadon Author Photo Zoomed out

As a dedicated thriller reader, I’m drawn to stories that blend tension with emotion, the kind that make you feel every heartbeat, decision, and consequence alongside the characters. Whether it’s a high-stakes chase or a slow-burn unraveling, what matters most is the sense of danger, truth, and humanity beneath the surface.

My background as a former military member and ultramarathon runner gives me a unique perspective on resilience, psychological tension, and the limits of human endurance. These are the elements I seek out and celebrate in great thrillers.

I created The Thriller Writer Lab to give authors something most platforms don’t: a direct line to readers and fellow writers who crave this genre. No gatekeeping. No algorithms deciding who gets seen. Just sharp pitches, rich conversations, and a space to champion the people behind the books.
